Originally from Liverpool England, Mike has been working with hair for the last 15 years. After qualifying as a hairdresser he spent the early years of his career working and training in Europe, Australia and the US before returning to Merseyside.
In 2012 Mike was selected via a nation wide audition process to represent Wella as part of they're Generation Now artistic team. This involved a year spent being mentored by leading industry figures working on shows and teaching on stage as a platform artist. This experience culminated in him relocating to London where he worked for multi award winning salon group Hob, in they're Camden Academy.
In recent years Mike has devoted his time solely to Fashion and session work, working and training under many of the industry's leading artists, including time spent as Gary Gill and Cyndia Harvey’s 1st assistant. He has racked up an array of experience working on campaigns and runway shows around the world including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Maison Margiela, Rick Owens among Many others.
His own work has appeared in British Vogue, GQ Style, L'Official, Beauty Papers, Elle, Wonderland as well as Music videos and advertising for the likes of Topman, Zara, Rayban, H&M, CMMN-SWDN, Richard James and Dunhill.
In 2017 Mike was awarded the "Fashionista" award by Creative Head Magazine at the annual IT List awards. The awards recognises "rising stars" with in the hairdressing industry, with the fashionista award being awarded to the person making waves with in fashion circles.
